Couture Trims: Swirls, Fabrics and Feathers Masterclass by Vlad Straticiuc - 1 DAY on Thursday 4th April 2019
In this workshop, learn with Vlad how to trim on a pre-blocked shape using twists and spiral trimming details combined with fabrics trims and feather elements.
At the end of this workshop, the delegates will know how to use different materials to trim headpieces. In particular, delegates will learn how to make Couture swirls trim and others
This class is ideal for Beginner Hat Makers, Intermediate Hat Makers, Advanced Hat Makers,Hat Wearers, Hat Buyers and all Adult
You will be taught
- How to achieve different shapes in accordance to your trimming ideas
- The right type of fabrics and other specialist materials to use
- How to rightly cut and shape your fabrics to achieve couture swirls and spirals
- How to embellish your creation with feather decorations
Materials needed:
Fabrics
Feathers
Set of small jewelry pliers
Scissors
1 pre-blocked shape headpiece to trim
Hot glue gun
Specific specialist materials will be communicated upon booking on the course

Delegates will learn of techniques and materials that can be used to achieve and implement a piece of millinery headpiece decked in crystal ornaments
This class is ideal for Beginner Hat Makers, Intermediate Hat Makers, Advanced Hat Makers,Hat Wearers, Hat Buyers and all Adult
At the end of this workshop, the delegates will know what kind of materials can be used to create the crystalline headpiece. You will go home with an exquisite crystal millinery headpiece.

How to make this base and other desired shapes
How to incorporate crystal ornaments into their structure
How to achieve a clean finish with the headpiece.
