Gravity-Defying Trims and Crinoline Flowers Masterclass by Lyze Bamigbola - 1 DAY on Thursday 8th October 2020 

In this workshop, learn with Lyze how to trim a pre-blocked shape with sturdy feather elements and Crystallised balls and you will work with Crinoline to make flowers. Lyze will demonstrate and guide you through the construction of the crystallised balls during the workshop as well as how to treat and trim your feathers to give a couture look.

At the end of this workshop, the delegates will know how to use different materials to trim headpieces. In particular, delegates will learn how to make gravity-defying crystallised balls and feather trims and attach to  headpieces without the risk of them falling apart. Delegates will work with that special fabric Crinoline to make beautiful flowers to adorn your hats.

This class is ideal for Beginner Hat Makers, Intermediate Hat Makers, Advanced Hat Makers,Hat Wearers, Hat Buyers and all Adult

You will be taught

• How to achieve different feather shapes in accordance to your trimming ideas
• How to construct Crystallised balls
• How to assemble your gravity-defying piece
• The right type of specialist materials to use
• How to rightly cut and shape your crinoline to achieve couture flowers

She also gained tutelage from a few of the best in the industry.

Her Innovative Designs Quickly Gathered Critical Acclaim And Several Awards Including The Worshipful Feltmakers Awards, 2001 In The Design Catergory. She Uses A True Artisan Approach To Detail Design and Function.

Lyze works from her South London studio in United Kingdom where she creates bespoke headwear through personal consultations with her clients.
